{Blog Tour} {Review} 15 Minutes - Jill Cooper

15 Minutes by Jill Cooper
Genre: YA Sci-fi
Release Date: Jun 15 / 2013
I have 15 minutes to save my mother’s life...
15 minutes is all the Rewind Agency gives you in the past, but for Lara Crane it’s enough time to race through the city, find her mother, and stop her from being killed in a mugging that happened over ten years ago.
But that’s not how it happened. The story she’s been told all her life is a lie and when Lara takes a bullet meant for her mother, her future changes forever.
The love of her life acts like a stranger. Her simple life is replaced with a giant house, glamorous clothes and a new boyfriend.
Except someone knows her secret. And he will try to stop her at every turn as she races against the clock to unravel a dangerous conspiracy.
15 Minutes is an edgy high octane YA thriller that can be described as Back to the Future meets Inception where the people Lara trusts change in an instant. She is in a timeline she doesn't understand, and is about to make one fatal mistake as she faces an enemy so familiar, he’s family.

Thank you to IFB tours for the awesome tour!

Time travel book, you say? I'm there! 15 Minutes is a time-travelling novel that took me by surprise and kept me flipping the pages.

Time travelling was a really cool aspect in this novel. It isn't really time travel but more like reliving your memory. You are transferred back in time to observe something that happened to you. You can't change anything or touch anything. The problem in this novel is about the corporation. It wanted to reshape the world so that they hold all the power in their hands.

Our protagonist, Lara, lives two different lives. In one life, she tried to go back in time to save her mom from being murdered. She saved her mother but in turn her own life changed into another Lara's. One who was rich and living the life. Now she's living the wrong life, trying to solve her mom's murder case and save the world all at the same time. It may be a bit confusing at times but it's really exciting to read about.

All because of the 15 minutes, everything in Lara's life changed. This book was adventurous and figuring things out with Lara was really fun.

  2. I've always enjoyed time travel books if they're done well- going to keep an eye out for this! Also, that cover looks insanely familiar...eh

    Great review! <33

  3. Wow, time-traveling! I haven't read a book that had time-traveling before! Wait...maybe I did but I just can't remember. Hmm...nope. But seriously this sounds awesome but a little confusing with all the time changing things. Reminds me of the anime Amnesia (that I dropped because it SUCKED unlike the animation). I'm glad you sorta liked it..since you gave it a C and all. XP
