Waiting on Wednesday #31 - The Chaos of Stars

Waiting on Wednesday is a meme hosted by Breaking the Spine
that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating.

The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White
Genre: YA Mythology
Release Date: Sept 10 / 2013
Publisher: HarperTeen
Isadora’s family is seriously screwed up.
Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She’s also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can’t be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever—and she’s a mere mortal.
Isadora’s sick of living a life where she’s only worthy of a passing glance, and when she has the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isadora’s quickly finding that a “normal” life comes with plenty of its own epic complications—and that there’s no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can’t shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isadora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

When I heard there's going to be Egyptian mythology, I was all in. I didn't like Kierstan White's Paranormalcy book though so hopefully this one will be good.

  2. Woot woot for being WoW buddies! I'm really excited for this one!! I actually enjoyed Paranormalcy, so that's a bonus factor for me. The Greek Mythology is such a fantastic aspect to this one, and that's not even talking about the cover. ;) This one is sure to be ah-mazing!

    Lovely pick, Ariella! <3

  3. Well, there's my newest addition to my to-read list. I really liked the Paranormalcy series, so hopefully I'll like this book since it's by the same author and is Egyptian mythology. :)

  5. I actually really liked Kiersten's other book, Mind Games, but that one's gotten a lot of mixed reviews so I'm not really sure that's going to turn out for me. But I haven't read any other of her books so I'm not sure how I would like it, but I hope you do!
