A Day in My Life is a feature where I tell you what's been going
and any updates I may have for my blog.
This post is going to be quite long today :P I've got a few things to talk about.
So next week, I've got exams so don't expect me to be on here. I'm got to study!!! Haven't started yet being the procrastinator that I am :P Ugh, hopefully I don't fail anything >.< I've got exams for Math, English, Socials, French and Science. I think I'm good for most of them. EXCEPT SCIENCE. OMG, SCIENCE, WHY MUST YOU BE SO HARD? Yep.. Science is definitely my worse subject. My teacher is separating the exam into two parts so we had the biology/outer space portion this tuesday and then for exams we'll have the chemistry/electricity. I'm okay for biology and space but I'm a dead man for electricity. Hopefully, I'll make it through okay XD
The other thing I want to talk about is my English project. We had to write a diary kind of thing for Animal Farm where you choose an animal and write ten entries from his/her POV. I chose Napoleon and I'm actually cramming to get it done right now. I wanna know if you guys would be interested in reading the entries? Mind you, they're not that good :P I don't see myself as a writer for the future, that's all I'm saying.
Last thing I want to talk about is quite important. I really need to know your opinions on this. Lately (actually just yesterday but it's been at the back of my mind for a while now), I've been thinking about changing my blog name. I've already changed it once (most of you probably didn't know that) but I feel like Secrets of Lost Words isn't really me? I'm not sure. Like, it isn't a title that I can just go and say, That's my blog! I feel proud. I don't know how to explain it. But I also don't want to go through the hassle of changing the name and also the email and just EVERYTHING. I have some ideas for the new name but I don't know if it's better than Secrets of Lost Words. That title just sounds so seriously to me, by the way. And if you know me, I'm actually anything but serious ;) And I'd appreciate if you tell me your opinion on this and any ideas for good names?

I like the title, but you're right it is very serious. Your blog should represent you so if you don't think this title does that than you should change it. If you love your new title, then changing the email and links and everything shouldn't be that much of a hassle.
ReplyDeleteI had to read Animal Farm this year for school too, and I like it. I think reading you diary entries as Napoleon would be cool to read. If you put them up here you can see what others think. Maybe they are better than you give yourself credit for. :)

DeleteGood luck on your exams! I am so bad at science, too. Also not a fan of it. At all. Ick. Good thing I can avoid all science classes in university! Just look forward to that :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Animal Farm when I read it, so I think it would be cool to read what you wrote. And hey, all practice is good practice, right?
As for the name change, I'm with Sydney. I like the name, but if it's not "you", I don't think you'll ever really be happy with it. I'm no good at blog names (mine was inspired by a song I had running through my head when I impulsively decided to start blogging), but I hope you can find something that you're more happy with! :)
I think I might post my animal farm entries then :) I might change my blog name then.. I have two ideas so far.. Something with inklings or Secrets of Ariella? I don't know :P
DeleteI've actually considered changing my blog name ALOT. For me These Flying Pages is... I dont know not catchy or fun really, but then I started thinking of all the changes I'd have to do: the rss feed the headers, buttons, names, social platform profiles, etc. So I would say change it if you have a name that you completely love and are certain you wont have second thoughts about in the future :)

DeleteGood luck on your exams, doll! Science is the devil!! And for your blog name I think you should pick what you think fits you the most. Although I am a big fan of the name Secrets of Lost Words I think it's unique and clever, but if you have a name that suits YOU better than change it or you'll forever think you should have ;)
