Stacking the Shelves #38

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews
that shows book we hauled that week.

I received -

The Bell Between Worlds (The Mirror Chronicles #1) by Ian Johnstone
Thanks so much to HarperCollins UK and Netgalley!

I bought -

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer
Bystander by James Preller

The Pirate's Wish (The Assassin's Curse #2) by Cassandra Rose Clarke
Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead
Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days #1) by Susan Ee

I already bought Cinder (already read) and Bystander on sale at my local book store. I already finished Pirate's Wish (review coming soon & it was really good!). I'm reading Gameboard of the Gods now and I'll be reading Angefall with a friend. We'll be reviewing it together! :)

What did you get this week? Make sure to comment below and link me up to your own haul posts!

UPDATE: I totally forgot it's Canada Day on Monday! I'll definitely be having a good Canada Day and happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians :D *maple leaf pride*

UPDATE #2: Google reader is leaving Monday so don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin'!

  2. I'm on the fence about reading Cinder. I've never really liked the story of Cinderella, but the whole steampunk take on it seems intriguing... As for the books I got this week, I checked out a bunch of Shakespeare from the library for me to read over the summer. I am admittedly crazy. :P

    1. You should read Cinder! I love the whole steampunk thing. And I really enjoyed Romeo and Juliet. Hamlet was great as well. Hope you enjoy Shakespeare as much as you can :P

  4. I read Gameboard of the Gods and it turned out pretty great! I think it's mostly because people expect something like VA. This is actually completely different from that series.

    1. Gameboard of the Gods was great!!! You shouldn't go in with expectations of it being the same as VA thought..

    1. The Bell Between the Worlds is REALLY slow and I don't really like the writing style much. GOTG was great btw! I didn't realize there was a glossary but I wasn't confused at all.
